CHICAGO MARATHON (2025)

BACK TO PROJECTS

Concept:

The Lost Freight Relay:

To celebrate the city and commemorate our store opening in Bucktown, we held a unsanctioned relay on Chicago's 606 path. Named after the history of the 606, "Lost Freight" refers to this former freight rail line being abandoned as it fell into disarray before it was revived into a central artery of movement for Chicago. To commemorate and differentiate this race, we partnered with David Perry, a jeweler with connections to Chicago to create chains and pendants with an engraving to celebrate the 606.

Marathon Finisher Gift:

In celebration of all of our Chicago Marathon finishers, we created a way to commemorate and caffeinate for weeks and months to come. Our motivation was to create something that finishers could look at every morning they have their morning coffee to celebrate their accomplishment. We partnered with local coffee roaster, METRIC Coffee to create a custom blend of coffee in a commemorative tin for finishers, emblazoned with a map of the course and a space for them to write in their name and finishing time.
